Video details

The Video Shooting:
Will take place at different times and places depending on the weather and the inspiration!

I already have a collection of pictures from some of my trips which I will include at different times throughout the video (pic to left was taken in Vancouver Island after a 14 hour hike during a 3 week backpacking adventure).

During the first week of November I will do a few shootings: One will occur by the river in the West end of Ottawa. I will film a friend in meditation. She will not be moving, but the water will be flowing, creating a peaceful ambiance. This shot will be about 25 seconds long. The second will take place during the first snow fall. I will film a tree being touched by snow flakes. If the weather doesn't allow it I'll film it during a very windy day.

I am going to use old as well as new footage. I have great material to work with. The video wont be a story per-se, but a flow of images that will provoke ideas.

For intresting visual effects I will be filming quick shots of:

* Eyes looking into the sun (close up)

*Hands in prayer position (on an angle where you can see mostly one hand -It wont be centered)

*Lips opening

*Feet (flimed in close up as the model gets up to run, you will see the bottom of her foot. A 2-4 second shot)

*A shot of all the elements (fire, water, air and earth) that will be rapidly changing from one to another during the film

All of the above will be short scenes that will be edited into one another during the climax of the film. It is at that moment (1 min 30) that the music will be replaced or distorted by unplesant sounds (like white sound from a TV) . The sounds will accompany the "shocking" images of familiar logos and advertisements.

The ending will be a re-cap of some of the nice images seen in the first part of the video. The last scene will be of a girl in meditation, under a tree, that reaches illumination when something falls on her head.....

There is an amazing place on the Ottawa River across from Tunney's Pasture where an artist has created a bunch of stone cairns. Just an idea for a location.
